In 2008 I adopted the two best things that have ever happened to me. My two pups Gizmo and Charlie. I thought I was rescuing them but they are the ones that really rescued me.
Animal rescue and adoption is a cause that is near and dear to my heart. So when I learned about Christina Beckles and her work in creating The Sato Project in Puerto Rico I knew I wanted to help. Chrissy Beckles was on holiday with her husband in Puerto Rico in 2008.
During their visit they came upon a beach that was filled with homeless and hungry dogs. This beach was known to be called Dead Dog Beach. Chrissy could not stop thinking about these dogs and so she began to go back and forth to rescue as many dogs as she could. In 2011 she decided to quit her job and move to Puerto Rico permanently. That’s when she officially founded The Sato Project. TSP has rescued over 1800 dogs. Their work is life saving and life changing.
